　On Fasching Dienstag,  we had our own party.　At lunch it
was announced that there would be a costume ball in the big
living-room,  beginning at six.  The festive dinner would be
at seven-thirty.  Of course,  the afternoon was free,  and all
over the house one could hear the tapping of busy feet, bumping
of doors,  and ,  as the afternoon progressed gales of laughter.

　火曜謝肉祭の日は私たち独自のパーティーを催します.．
それはお昼どきに発表されるのですが、大居間で仮装舞踏
会をするというもので、始まりは午後６時です．祭りの
夕食は午後７時３０分からです．もちろん午後は自由時間、
家中どこでも至る所、パタパタ、バタバタと忙しそうな足
音やドアの開閉音が、そして午後のひと時が過行く中、陽
気な笑い声も聞えます．
