Then Jesus was approached by some Sadducees
—religious leaders who say there is no resurrection from the dead.
They posed this question:
復活ということはないと言い張っていた
サドカイ人のある者たちが、イエスに近寄ってきて質問した、
“Teacher, Moses gave us a law that if a man dies,
leaving a wife but no children,
his brother should marry the widow and have a child
who will carry on the brother’s name.
「先生、モーセは、わたしたちのためにこう書いています、
『もしある人の兄が妻をめとり、子がなくて死んだなら、
弟はこの女をめとって、兄のために子をもうけねばならない』。
Well, suppose there were seven brothers.
The oldest one married and then died without children.
ところで、ここに七人の兄弟がいました。
長男は妻をめとりましたが、子がなくて死に、
So the second brother married the widow, but he also died.
Then the third brother married her.
This continued with all seven of them, who died without children.
そして次男、三男と、次々に、その女をめとり、
七人とも同様に、子をもうけずに死にました。
Finally, the woman also died.
のちに、その女も死にました。
So tell us, whose wife will she be in the resurrection?
For all seven were married to her!”
さて、復活の時には、この女は七人のうち、
だれの妻になるのですか。七人とも彼女を妻にしたのですが」。

Jesus replied, “Marriage is for people here on earth.

「この世の子らは、めとったり、とついだりするが、
But in the age to come, those worthy of being raised
from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage.
かの世にはいって
死人からの復活にあずかるにふさわしい者たちは、
めとったり、とついだりすることはない。
And they will never die again.
In this respect they will be like angels.
They are children of God and children of the resurrection.
彼らは天使に等しいものであり、
また復活にあずかるゆえに、神の子でもあるので、
もう死ぬことはあり得ないからである。
“But now, as to whether the dead will be raised
—even Moses proved this when he wrote about
the burning bush.
Long after Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob had died,
he referred to the Lord as
‘the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’
死人がよみがえることは、モーセも柴の篇で、主を
『アブラハムの神、イサクの神、ヤコブの神』と呼んで、
これを示した。

いえいえ、殆どのクリスチャンやキリスト教人だとしても
こういう聖書のことは分かっていません。（勿論自分の国に限ること）
それは何だか色んな誤解を招くことが理由らしいです。
だから教会や聖堂では出来る限り分かり易い聖書の話を選びます。
聖書を旧約から新約までちゃんと読んだ後、自分は
「天国で生きている人々は宇宙人（超能力者？）みたいだよね！」
という結論に至りました。（笑）

むうぅ、なんという不覚………Orz
