Then, leaving the crowds outside,
Jesus went into the house.
それからイエスは、群衆をあとに残して家にはいられた。
His disciples said,
“Please explain to us the story
of the weeds in the field.”
すると弟子たちは、みもとにきて言った、Jesus went into the house.

「畑の毒麦の譬を説明してください」。
Jesus replied,
“The Son of Man is the farmer
who plants the good seed.
イエスは答えて言われた、
「良い種をまく者は、人の子（イエス・キリスト）である。
The field is the world,
and the good seed represents the people of the Kingdom.
畑は世界である。
良い種と言うのは天国の民で、
The weeds are the people who belong to the evil one.
毒麦は悪魔に従う者である。
The enemy who planted the weeds
among the wheat is the devil.
それをまいた敵は悪魔である。
The harvest is the end of the world,
収穫とは世の終りのことで、
and the harvesters are the angels."
刈る者は天使たちである。
“Just as the weeds are sorted out
and burned in the fire,
だから、毒麦が集められて火で焼かれるように、
so it will be at the end of the world.
世の終りにもそのとおりになるであろう。
The Son of Man will send his angels,
人の子はその使たちをつかわし、
and they will remove from his Kingdom everything
that causes sin and all who do evil.
つまずきとなるものと不法を行う者とを、
ことごとく御国からとり集めて、
And the angels will throw them into the fiery furnace,
炉の火に投げ入れさせるであろう。
where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
そこでは泣き叫んだり、歯がみをしたりするであろう。
Then the righteous will shine like the sun
in their Father’s Kingdom.
そのとき、義人たちは彼らの父の御国で、
太陽のように輝きわたるであろう。
Anyone with ears to hear should listen
and understand!
耳のある者は聞くがよい。

「世の終り」は、「この世界の終り」だと思います。
今人々が暮しているこの世界よりもっと麗しいくて、新しい世界がくるため、
今の世界、空、宇宙、全てが終りに至る（停止）時だと思われます。
その新しい世界が聖書で語る「天国」。
天国に相応しい人々は神様に選ばれて、この世界が終わっても救われると
聖書で語っています。
また、死は実の終りではなく、死の後でも人の魂は待機状態となり、
世界の終わりの時に蘇られて「天国」、それとも「地獄」か
その人の行き先が定められます。
