Zero Fighters

I couldn't put down the book "Eien no Zero" , which became famous by word of mouth.
It's all about World War 2 and what happened to people around that time.
I was moved to tears by Mr.Miyabe's way of life.
I must read other books by Naoki Hyakuta, and watch the movie as well.

Thanks Eri! I love learning something new everyday. :D
I've read some other books by Mr.Hyakuta and there were all great; he really studys for what he wants to write in the books.
However, I can't figure why he supports Mr.Tabogami so much.
Mr.Tabogami is the one I defenitely wouldn't vote for. :-(

Hi Milk!

I'm pleased to have your comment. :-)
Thanks much for your suggestion.
My hasband likes reading books by Mr. Hyakuta for the time being, so there are all his works on our bookshelf except for 'Maria......'. X(
My hubby somehow doesn't feel like reading it, so I'll read 'Monster' the next!

I feel special atmosphere in Yoyogi park too! :-)

Hi, Carrie
I also read the book about "Zero Fighters" and saw the movie!
The book moved me a lot as well.
I continue to read the writer's books recently, "Monster", " Maria in the breeze" and "The man called Pirate".
personally, I recommend you the story of wasps " Maria in the breeze".
His works have some reality, so attract a lot of readers.
Bye for now!

Hi arie!

I'm really happy that you seem to enjoy your life a lot more than when working at school.
You sound like occupied by lots of activities which you really wanted to do! :-)

Oh, I enjoyed bathing in several hot springs, hearing of the water murmuring, looking at the steam coming out of the springs.... I also watched some sticks burned at a fire place.
I love just being myself surrounded by nature things; thanks, arie, I was refreshed a lot!

Hi, Carrie!

I had another busy but fulfilling day today.
It's around 22:30 or so when I have some spare time to sit at my computer.
I think I had a lot more free time at my disposal before I retired from my regular job.
I'm happy, however, that I can make myself busy in my day-to-day life with different activities.

I hope you've had a great time at a hot spring.
You must have relieved yourself of your pent-up stress by soaking yourself in an efficacious hot spring.
See you around.

Hi arie!

Thanks much for your lovely message. Oh, you also like to read this book!
I think we Japanese all must read or watch this moving story; I hear its movie is as good as the novel.

You must be busy practicing table tennis, teaching both English and Japanese, and reading books.
I know you also play the guitar.
I admire you stick to your resolution and try to be better than before.
Your students must be hands down happy to have a marvelous teacher like you. :-)

Hi, Carrie!

Thanks for sharing your exuberant emotions which you got from reading the unputdownable novel "Eien no Zero."
I'd like to read the book because I've read a favorable review of the book in a newspaper recently.
The problem is that I've got a lot to do and my time is very limited in my daily routines.
See you around.
