Nicotto Town

Hung out together

I was invited to drink together at the gallery by the owner, so I went there with my husband.
Three couples hung out there the whole afternoon, talking, eating, listening to music, playing piano......
We did whatever we felt like doing.
We had a good time at the cosy familiar place!

Many thanks for letting me know of your daughter's music history, Eri!
It was really interesting; I was well amazed to hear that.
So did she take up flute when she was a 4th grader?

I didn't know there's a saying that Japanese cultual learning should be started at the age of 6 years and 6 months. That's interesting too!
That's somehow related to what my piano coach in America said; she said that children should start learning piano at the age of 7, not earlier than that.

I also heard from a friend of mine who moved to Koriyama, Fukushima that children are well supported to play some instuments there.
Even in Japan, things are different in areas and it's fun to know them!

Thanks a lot for your advice; I'll tell my friend our opinions. :-)

After that...club activity started at shcool when she became the fourth grador.
She joined drums and fife corps, the teacher gave her euphonium for three monts, but kids who played flute were short, so the teacher changed her instrument.
The city gathered children to learn music again at that time, so she this time took flute.
It was a great chance for her.
She has been with the flute since then.

I have the same opinion with you about your friend's son's music instrument.
Piano is the best instrument when we start learning music, so I will recommand your friend get a piano.

We, Japanese don't have much opportunity to join party or gathering with hus or wife.
You have good companies and good relation with your husband.

I drew a picthure which you were on the bed with seven speakers, I couldn't stop smiling :D.

I wanted my daughter to learn something Japanese-like such as NIHON BUYOU, MINYOU or SHAMISEN, so I let her start KOTO when she became 6 years old (It is said that Japanese cultual learning should be started when a kid is 6 years 6 month old).

She cherished KOTO, but it became difficult for us to make schedule with the teacher, we finally gave up KOTO.
Next, she tried playing the violin.
Our city sometimes gives children opportunity to learn music instruments by very small fee.
She didn't get well with violin, so she started playing the piano with me.
The piano and she...they were not good friends.

GM arie!

Thanks a bunch for your nice comments. :-)
Oh, I just try to write three sentences in my diary, so it's not so difficult to do it everyday. haha!
You must be busy commenting on all our blogs; you are as assiduous as I am.
I've found lots of similar traits between us!

Hi, Carrie!

You've really had a fun time getting together with your familiar people today.
It's nice to share relaxing moments with your acquaintances from time to time, because it's an indispensable part of our life to get to know people and deepen ties with them.
The more people we get to know, the richer we will become at heart.
It's incredible that we have only a week before we turn over a new leaf of the new year.
Have a nice evening.
See you later.
