Piano Shion

"Shion" is the name of the piano at the gallery; the owner of this Steinway piano just decided her name.
She was doomed to lost her life at the beginning of this year, but she was saved by this artisan.
Using the outside of the piano, he made a new desk for the customer, and created another piano, Shion, for his company.
The story of this piano was really moving, and I felt Shion as a living thing who was very much loved by her family and has lots of characters.
I'd like to show the most of herself; the most beautiful color of the sounds!
The owner of Shion accepted my wish and allowed me to touch her everyday toward the concert.
I'm really looking forward to getting to know her well and being good company with her!

Thanks for telling me about the story of the Steinway piano named 'Shion' or 'Zion' in Hebrew.
Zion originally means the sacred hill located in the eastern part of Jerusalem on which David built the palace of his kingdom.
Judging from the name of 'Shion', Steinway must be Jewish, who emigrated from Germany to the States.
It's a happy coincidence that we have something in common.
