Happy encounter!

I went out to Gotanda to take some session today.
On the way home, I ran into one of my ex-students, who was a little kid when he first came to my class.
He is now a high schooler.
I was happy to see him and talk to him a bit for the first time in four years!
Yep! He recognized me right off, as I haven't changed very much.
I haven't been growing up like he has recently. :-)
This is amazing.

It was really amazing that you bumped into one of your former students in the megalopolis of Tokyo.
You were lucky to have such a wonderful encounter with him.
Your former student must have been very pleased and excited to see you after such a long hiatus.
Personally, I'm annually invited to a class reunion of my former students whom I was in charge of for two years in their senior high school days.
It's really fun to have regular contact with young people with whom we shared common experience in their youth.
