When they returned to the other disciples,
they saw a large crowd surrounding them,
and some teachers of religious law were arguing with them.
さて、彼らがほかの弟子たちの所にきて見ると、
大ぜいの群衆が弟子たちを取り囲み、
そして律法学者たちが彼らと論じ合っていた。
When the crowd saw Jesus,
they were overwhelmed with awe, and they ran to greet him.
群衆はみな、すぐイエスを見つけて、
非常に驚き、駆け寄ってきて、あいさつをした。
“What is all this arguing about?” Jesus asked.
イエスが彼らに、「あなたがたは彼らと何を論じているのか」と尋ねられると、
One of the men in the crowd spoke up and said,
“Teacher, I brought my son so you could heal him.
He is possessed by an evil spirit that won’t let him talk.
群衆のひとりが答えた、
「先生、おしの霊につかれているわたしのむすこを、こちらに連れて参りました。
And whenever this spirit seizes him, it throws him violently to the ground.
Then he foams at the mouth and grinds his teeth and becomes weak.
So I asked your disciples to cast out the evil spirit, but they couldn’t do it.”
霊がこのむすこにとりつきますと、どこででも彼を引き倒し、
それから彼はあわを吹き、歯をくいしばり、からだをこわばらせてしまいます。
それでお弟子たちに、この霊を追い出してくださるように願いましたが、できませんでした」。
Jesus said to his disciples.
“You faithless people!
How long must I be with you?
How long must I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.”
イエスは答えて言われた、
「ああ、なんという不信仰な時代であろう。
いつまで、わたしはあなたがたと一緒におられようか。
いつまで、あなたがたに我慢ができようか。その子をわたしの所に連れてきなさい」。
So they brought the boy.
But when the evil spirit saw Jesus, it threw the child into a violent convulsion,
and he fell to the ground, writhing and foaming at the mouth.
そこで人々は、その子をみもとに連れてきた。
霊がイエスを見るや否や、その子をひきつけさせたので、
子は地に倒れ、あわを吹きながらころげまわった。
“How long has this been happening?” Jesus asked the boy’s father.
He replied, “Since he was a little boy.
そこで、イエスが父親に「いつごろから、こんなになったのか」と尋ねられると、
父親は答えた、「幼い時からです。
The spirit often throws him into the fire or into water, trying to kill him.
Have mercy on us and help us, if you can.”
霊はたびたび、この子を火の中、水の中に投げ入れて、殺そうとしました。
しかしできますれば、わたしどもをあわれんでお助けください」。
そこで、イエスが父親に「いつごろから、こんなになったのか」と尋ねられると、
父親は答えた、「幼い時からです。
The spirit often throws him into the fire or into water, trying to kill him.
Have mercy on us and help us, if you can.”
霊はたびたび、この子を火の中、水の中に投げ入れて、殺そうとしました。
しかしできますれば、わたしどもをあわれんでお助けください」。
“What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked.
“Anything is possible if a person believes.”
イエスは彼に言われた、
「もしできれば、と言うのか。信ずる者には、どんな事でもできる」。
The father instantly cried out,
“I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!”
その子の父親はすぐ叫んで言った、
「信じます。不信仰なわたしを、お助けください」。
When Jesus saw that the crowd of onlookers was growing,
he rebuked the unclean. spirit.
“Listen, you spirit that makes this boy unable to hear and speak,” he said.
“I command you to come out of this child and never enter him again!”
イエスは群衆が駆け寄って来るのをごらんになって、
けがれた霊をしかって言われた、
「おしとつんぼの霊よ、
わたしがおまえに命じる。この子から出て行け。二度と、はいって来るな」。
Then the spirit screamed
and threw the boy into another violent convulsion and left him.
The boy appeared to be dead.
A murmur ran through the crowd as people said, “He’s dead.”
すると霊は叫び声をあげ、激しく引きつけさせて出て行った。
その子は死人のようになったので、多くの人は、死んだのだと言った。
But Jesus took him by the hand and helped him to his feet, and he stood up.
しかし、イエスが手を取って起されると、その子は立ち上がった。
Afterward, when Jesus was alone in the house with his disciples, they asked him, “Why couldn’t we cast out that evil spirit?”
家にはいられたとき、弟子たちはひそかにお尋ねした、
「わたしたちは、どうして霊を追い出せなかったのですか」。
Jesus replied,
“This kind can be cast out only by prayer and fasting.”
すると、イエスは言われた、
「このたぐいは、祈と断食によらなければ、どうしても追い出すことはできない」。
☧新約聖書 マルコによる福音書 9章14-29節
はい、「断食は、悪い霊を追い出せるほど精神を清く強くする」そいうことです。
僕が教会から学んだことは断食によって人間本然の「呪い」が解けられて祈りが強くなることでした。
また、ネズミに対した実現では3日の間1回断食をしていたネズミのほうが
断食せず普通に食べながら活動していたネズミよりも長く生きた・・・という記録もありました。
普通に祈ったのでは、だめということでしょうね。
断食は、悪い霊を追い出せるほど精神を清く強くするということでしょうか？
悪い霊は、清い精神が苦手でしょうから、そういう精神状態で祈られると、逃げださずにはいられないでしょうね。
