"This is the end for you, Master," he said.
「これで終わりです、師匠。」　彼が言った。
"I wish it were otherwise."
「俺は違った結末が欲しかった。」

"Yes, Anakin, so do I," Obi-Wan said
as he sprinted into a leaping dive,
making a spear of his blade.
「それは御互い様だ、アナキン。」　
オビワンがラ自身の刀を槍として跳びこんで来ながら言った。

Anakin leaned aside
and deflected the thrust almost contemptuously.
アナキンは突っ込む攻勢をやや斜めに避けながらあざ笑うように反撃した。

Obi-Wan's whirl to parry didn't meet Anakin's blade.
It met his knee.Then his other knee.
オビワンは回避して回り切ったが、それはアナキンの刀と向い合う代わりに、
アナキンの膝, そして彼の他の膝とぶつかることになってしまった。


And while Anakin was still in the air,
burned-off lower legs only starting their topple down the cliff,
そしてアナキンがジャンプしている間、
（オビワンの刀によって）燃えてしまった二つの足が絶壁の下で転んで落ちた。


Anakin dropped his lightsaber,
clawing at the edge of the cliff with his mechanical hand,
アナキンは刀を落として義手で絶壁の欄干を引っつかんだが。

but his grip was too powerful for the lava bank
熔岩の堤防を取るにはその手摑みが強すぎだった。

and it crumbled, and he slid down onto the black sand.
間もなくその堤防は崩れて彼はあの黒い砂慰労滑った。

Anakin scrabbled at the soft black sand,
アナキンは木暗い砂上でじたばたしたが、

but struggling only made him slip farther.
抵抗はもっと深く滑るようにするまでのこと。

The sand itself was hot enough that
it burned off his glove, and his robes began to smolder.
その砂自体は相当な高温だから彼の手袋を焼いたし
彼のマントもすぐ日焼けさし始めた。


"You were the chosen one!
「君は選ばれた存在だったんだ！」　（とオビワン・ケノービが言った。）

It was said you would destroy the Sith, not join them.
「（フォースは）君がシースに勢力するのではなく、打倒すと知らせた。」

It was you who would bring balance to the Force,
not leave it in darkness.
「君はフォースを闇の中へ捨てるではなく
それに均衡を持って来る存在だった。」

You were my brother, Anakin," said Obi-Wan Kenobi.
「君と俺は兄弟であったアナキン。」　とオビワン・ケノービが言った。

"I loved you,but I could not save you."
「俺は君を愛したが助けることは出来なかった。」

Below his feet, Darth Vader burst into flame.
"I hate you !!!," he screamed.
彼の足の下、ダース・ベイダーが燃えていた。
「貴様を呪う！！」　と彼は悲鳴を上げた。
