"That's too high!" murmured the provoking thing.
「それは高過ぎる！」とむかつく奴がつぶやきました。


"How must I arrange it, then?" She asked despairingly.
「じゃ、あたしがどんなにおかなければならないの?」
お嬢さんは絶望的に問いました。

He twined himself up to her,
彼はお嬢さんにくっついて

and converted her shoulder into a support.
彼女の肩によってしまいました。


"No, that won't do!" I said.
「いけません！」とわたくしは言いました。

"You will be content with the cushion, Master Heathcliff !
「枕は十分で御座います、ヒースクリフ坊っちゃん！」。

"Yes, yes we can !" replied Cathy.
「大丈夫、大丈夫。これで良し！」とキャシイ（キャサリン）が答えました。

"He's good and patient now,
「もう安定したし大人しくなったの」。

He's beginnig to think I shall have
far greater misery than he will tonight.
「ご自身よりあたしが今夜もっとつらがると思い始めたんだ」。

「本当にことを教えて頂戴、
もし私があなたを償つけたら私が来てはいけないかどうかを」。

「君は必ず来るべきだ、僕を癒すために」。

You ought to come because you have hurt me !
「君は来なければならない、何故なら君がこの僕を償つけたから」。

「さぁ、あの椅子に座って・・・そして僕を君の膝に寝かせてほしい」、
