with little idle boys like himself.
自分と同類の少年たちと交わって一日中路地で遊んでばかりする
のびやかでひまな少年。
This so grieved the father that he died;
これはアラジンの父をひどく心配させて結局、その心配のせいで彼は亡くなった。
yet, in spite of his mother's tears and prayers,
しかし母の涙と祈祷にもかかわらず
