Owe nothing to anyone—
except for your obligation to love one another.
If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law.
For the commandments say, “You must not commit adultery.
You must not murder.
You must not steal.
You must not covet.”t
These—and other such commandments—
are summed up in this one commandment:

借りがあれば、全部返しなさい。
ただし、他の人を愛するという「借り」だけは別です。
その「借り」だけは、いつまでも返し続けなさい。
というのは、人を愛することは、神様のすべてのおきて、
すべての要求にかなうことだからです。
自分を愛するように隣人を愛していれば、
その人を傷つけたり、だましたり、殺したり、
その人のものを盗んだりしたいとは思わないでしょう。
またその人の妻と罪を犯すとか、
その人のものを欲しがるとかいった、
「十戒」で禁じられていることは、何一つしないでしょう。
このように、十戒はすべて、「自分を愛するように、
あなたの隣人を愛しなさい」という一つの戒めに含まれるのです。

but only bear this in mind Sir. I pray you won't fall in egoism.
