Potter & Clay

The LORD gave another message to Jeremiah. He said,
主からエレミヤに臨んだ言葉。
“Go down to the potter’s shop,
「立って、陶器師の家に下って行きなさい。
and I will speak to you there."
その所でわたしはあなたにわたしの言葉を聞かせよう」。
So I did as he told me
わたしは陶器師の家へ下って行った。
and found the potter working at his wheel. But
見ると彼は、ろくろで仕事をしていたが、
the jar he was making did not turn out as he had hoped,
粘土で造っていた器が、その人の手の中で仕損じたので、
so he crushed it into a lump of clay again and started over.
彼は自分の意のままに、それをもってほかの器を造った。
Then the LORD gave me this message:
その時、主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ、
“O Israel, can I not do to you
as this potter has done to his clay? "
「主は仰せられる、イスラエルの家よ、この陶器師がしたように、
わたしもあなたがたにできないのだろうか。
"As the clay is in the potter’s hand,
陶器師の手に粘土があるように、
so are you in my hand."
あなたがたはわたしの手のうちにある。

Yes He is the Ultimate Goodness.
And our lives are all in His hand, meaning He can do whatever to us when He pleases.
I always believe The Lord is ultimately good !
