The Jabberwock: You're habitually late, aren't you?
君は習慣的に遅れる、そうだろ。
Between your dim-witted daydreaming and your preening vanity,
君のそのぼんやりした妄想と意味の無い着飾の間、
the hours just fly by; there's barely time for anything else.
時間は飛び去る、他の何かをする時間など全く無い。

Alice: That the best you can do?
それで終わり？
Hurl second-rate insults? They don't hurt.
そんなに大したことではない悪口だよね、傷つけないわよ。

The Jabberwock: Your family was expecting you to come to them,
君の家族は君が戻ることを期待していた。
Perhaps they thought you might warn them of the danger
多分、彼らは君が自分達に危険を知らせてくれると思った。
being close to the source, as you were.
原因に近かった、君は。
But they waited in vain, didn't they, and died for their trouble.
しかし、彼らは虚しく待った、そうだろ、そしてつらく死んだのだ。

You smelled the smoke,
君はあの煙のにおいを嗅いだ、
but you were in dreamland taking tea with your friends.
それでも君は夢の中で友達と一緒にお茶を飲んでいたのだ。
You couldn't be bothered.
邪魔することなんかいなかったし、
Your room was protected and spared
while your family upstairs roasted in an inferno of incredible horror!
君の家族が血なまぐさい恐怖の火炎の中で焼かれる間
君の部屋は守られて無事だったのだろ。
