ORA, essendo Gesù nato in Betleem di Giudea, a’ dì del re Erode
Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod
イエスがヘロデ王の代に、ユダヤのベツレヘムでお生れになったとき、

ecco, de’ magi d’Oriente arrivarono in Gerusalemme, dicendo:
behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem
見よ、東からきた博士たちがエルサレムに来て

Dov’è il Re de’ Giudei, che è nato?
Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews?
言った、「ユダヤ人の王としてお生れになったかたは、どこにおられますか。

Poichè,
noi abbiamo veduta la sua stella in Oriente, e siam venuti per adorarlo.
for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
わたしたちは東の方でその星を見たので、そのかたを拝みにきました」。

and to be a sign that will be spoken against
また反対を受けるしるしとして、定められています。
